Kendra Givens
Kendra is a rising senior majoring in computer science at Middle Tennessee State University. She has previously participated in the NSF Computational Science REU, researching how to process arbitrary length HTS samples with set transformers. Her interests primarily involve applying deep learning to solve problems in robotic areas such as multi-robot coordination, uavs, and cloth manipulation. Kendra is very grateful to have been accepted into the RISS program; she believes it offers great opportunities to gain experience as a robotics researcher and will prepare her for applying to graduate school. Kendra hopes to continue robotics research in a Ph.D. program. She is excited to be joining the Robotic Caregiving and Human Interaction lab under Dr. Zackory Erickson. Their project will focus on finding whether certain cloth states are reversible or not to cover someone back up. She would like to thank the sponsors and Rachel Burcin for this opportunity and hopes to make the best of it.
