Fabian Hahn
Hi, my name is Fabian Hahn and I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Hamburg in Germany. I spent my sophomore year studying abroad at the University of Granada in Spain, where I soaked up the sun, learned Spanish and studied artificial intelligence. My research interests are in machine learning and natural language processing, with a specific emphasis on robotics. I’m particularly drawn to robotics because I see it as the culmination of AI, and I’m excited by its potential to shape our future. This summer I will be joining the Intelligent Autonomous Manipulation-IAM Lab to work on physically grounded task axis controllers under the supervision of Dr. Oliver Kroemer and Ph.D. student Sarvesh Patil. I am committed to exploring innovative approaches to the interface between AI and the physical world through robots. I look forward to engaging with the vibrant academic community at CMU’s Robotics Institute as I continue to grow as a scholar. I’d like to thank Dr. Kroemer, Rachel Burcin, and Dr. John Dolan for this unique opportunity, as well as the DAAD for funding my stay.
