Ignacy Stepka

Hi, my name is Ignacy and I’m from Poland. Currently, I’m pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a major in Artificial Intelligence at Poznan University of Technology. Alongside my studies, I work part-time as a research assistant at the ML Lab at my university, where I focus on finding new approaches to ensuring the robustness of counterfactual explanations in dynamic environments. This will be my second time participating in RISS, and I’m excited to be returning! Last summer, I worked on formal verification of Bayesian networks in the Auton Lab under the guidance of Prof. Dubrawski and Dr. Gisolfi. This time, I’ll join Auton Lab once again, but will be working on Distributed AI/Federated Learning and exploring aspects related to ensuring algorithmic safety against malicious adversaries. On a more personal note, I enjoy playing electric guitar, brewing coffee, sailing, and sports-mainly european football. I want to say big thanks to RISS organizers for making all of this possible! I’m looking forward to meeting everyone soon!
