Program Goals & Contacts
Prof. Artur W. Dubrawski and the Auton Lab partnered with RISS to establish the Poland AI & Robotics Scholars initiative in 2020. Each year, Prof. Artur W. Dubrawski, an alumnus of Warsaw University of Technology and the Polish Academy of Sciences, and our network of Polish RISS alumni intentionally increase awareness of Carnegie Mellon and build strategic connections across global AI and robotics research communities. This partnership helps strengthen and diversify the doctoral programs at Carnegie Mellon, bringing the best talent to Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) to participate in immersive AI & robotics research. Rather than a simple summer internship, this is a research apprenticeship that begins with a summer immersion and continues with remote research collaboration, ongoing mentoring, and academic and career advocacy.
