Kevin Dai
My name is Kevin Dai, and I am currently a rising senior at Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, studying mathematics and computer science. Through my studies and previous work, I have explored the application of computer science to education and business research. These experiences have made me eager to learn more about the cutting edge of computer science as part of the RISS program this summer. My research interests currently involve looking at the effects of AI from both a technical and human perspective, leveraging my liberal arts education to provide an interdisciplinary viewpoint on this important field. This summer, I am excited to be working with Professor Artur Dubrawski in the Auton Lab under Dr. Nick Gisolfi and Dr. Kyle Miller on function space regularization as part of a distributed AI setting. After graduating, I plan to pursue a PhD in computer science to develop my knowledge further and enable me to make more impactful research contributions. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, attending concerts, and playing games of all types. I am incredibly grateful to all of the people who have made the RISS program happen!
