Lingpeng Chen
Lingpeng is currently pursuing a degree in computer engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, with a deep interest in computer vision and UAV systems. Under the guidance of Professor Alex Qian at the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Institute, he has been actively involved in collaborative work focusing on drones and Unmanned Vessels. This experience has allowed him to gain invaluable insights into UAV systems’ practical applications and potential. This summer, he is delighted to embark on an exciting endeavor centered around Wildland Fire Safety Monitoring. Collaborating with esteemed professionals Professor Katia Sycara and her students Andew Jong and Siva Kailas, Lingpeng aims to employ NeRF as a means to create a proxy for uncertainty, facilitating adaptive sampling for the global navigation of our sub-canopy UAVs and contributing to improved forest fire monitoring measures. He considers it a great honor to be selected for this program, which willprovide him with the opportunity to connect with researchers from all around the globe. He is genuinely enthusiastic about the knowledge-sharing and growth opportunities this program offers.
