Michael Cardei
Michael is a rising senior at the University of Florida studying computer science, and a research intern at Wake Forest University. His current research includes privacy-preserving deep learning and bias mitigation in deep learning medical applications. After graduation, he plans to further his education with a Ph.D. in Computer Science with research focus in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This summer, he will be joining Dr. Srinivasa Narasimhan’s lab to work on AI-driven video anomaly detection for the Platform Pittsburgh project. Michael is very excited to learn more about robotics and work on this fascinating research area. He’s looking forward to meeting and working with the lab mentors and fellow cohort members. He’s grateful for the opportunity to conduct research in this intriguing area and to learn about robotics. Michael would like to thank the RISS project director, sponsors, organizers, and mentors for providing this incredible opportunity.
