Muyang Yan

Hi everyone! I’m Muyang Yan. I’m a rising junior in CS at Purdue University, originally from Portland, Oregon. This summer I will be working under the guidance of Prof. Katia Sycara and Dr. Simon Stepputis in the AART lab on Neuro-Symbolic Action Anticipation. In particular, I am interested in using knowledge graphs to learn to predict new actions from few examples. More broadly, I am interested in combining the robustness of modern deep learning with the rigor of classical symbolic methods to solve some of the most difficult problems in AI. After my undergraduate studies, I intend to pursue a PhD to further explore this research direction. Outside of research, I love rock climbing, music production, and table tennis.
