Narek Harutyunyan
I am Narek Harutyunyan, from Armenia. I am studying Computer Engineering at Brown University. My previous research experience lies in different areas of planning and control in robotics. At Brown University, I worked in the Automatic Coordination of Teams-ACT lab on different planning and control projects under the supervision of Dr. Nora Aya-. In the summer of 2023, I received an Undergraduate Teaching and Research Award from Brown University and worked on a project where I was making a new kind of drone that could drop paint on a canvas and make art drawings. In the fall of 2023, I contributed to ongoing research in fluid mechanics and robotics, where I was helping to investigate the downwash effects of quadcopters during proximity flights. The results of the research will be published in the AIAA journal. This upcoming summer, I am thrilled to be working with Prof. Sebastian Scherer to explore the swarms’ planning further using big UAVs. I’m grateful for the incredible mentors and opportunities I had so far and incredibly thankful to all the RISS organizers for making such a fantastic program possible.
