Sreyas Venkataraman
Hi everyone! I am Sreyas Venkataraman from Chennai, India. I am a junior at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, majoring in Mathematics and Computing. My academic focus is on intelligent robotics, especially reinforcement learning, which allows for the development of advanced autonomous systems. I am also interested in solving decision making using generative models. I have collaborated with Professor Balaraman Ravindran from IIT Madras on offline reinforcement learning and sim2real transfer. Additionally, I am involved in an undergraduate research group focusing on Autonomous Ground Vehicles, where I contribute to the Reinforcement Learning and Simultaneous Localization and Mapping-SLAM team, working with F1tenth cars. I have also worked on diffusion models for manipulator control under Prof. Aritra Hazra at IIT Kharagpur. This summer, I will be working with Professor David Held. I am honored and excited to join the 2024 cohort of summer scholars at the Robotics Institute. I look forward to collaboration with my peers and the esteemed faculty of RI in the field of robotics. I am grateful to Professor David Held, Rachel Burcin, John Dolan, Hadley and all the students and volunteers for making RISS possible for me.
