Teeratham Vitchutripop
Teeratham, or TJ, is a rising fourth-year computer science and philosophy student at the University of Virginia. His research interests are primarily within the area of applying machine learning techniques (e.g., reinforcement learning) for robotic control in manipulation tasks. At UVA, his research has been centered around developing novel reinforcement learning architectures that can enable robots to work fluently in human-robot collaborative workflows. This summer he will be working with Dr. David Held and Jenny Wang at the Robots Perceiving and Doing (R-PAD) Lab on self-supervised task segmentation for robot manipulation. This research experience will be instrumental in his goal to pursue a career in research within the AI and robotics space, and he hopes to grow as a researcher by broadening his technical knowledge and refining his scientific communication skills. TJ would like to thank the RISS program, his mentors, and all the sponsors for making this opportunity possible.
