Teodor Tchalakov
Hello everyone! My name is Teodor Tchalakov, and I am a junior studying Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. I am excited to be working on fast optimization-based motion planning for dynamic robot manipulation under dynamical constraints with Professor John Dolan and two grad students. I am interested in exploring the practical limitations of planning and control algorithms in providing fast and reliable behavior for autonomous robot systems. I have previously done work on automatically-tuned model predictive controllers and also on learning guaranteed model parameter uncertainties for robust safety-critical control. At UIUC, I am a NASA Lunabotics team lead. In my free time, I enjoy going to classical music concerts, hiking, and skiing! RISS is a supportive community that helps push the boundaries of robotic research and capabilities, through collaboration! I am looking forward to exploring what applications people want to use robots for most and spending the summer with everyone in Pittsburgh.
