Xiang Fei

Xiang is a rising senior undergraduate at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHKSZ), majoring in computer science and engineering. He is interested in AI, computer vision, and quantum computing. In the past few years, he has worked on deep learning, quantum optimization, and their engineering applications under the guidance of Professor Junhua Zhao in CUHKSZ. In addition, he had an internship at Winning Health as a computer-vision engineer and focused on the 3D reconstruction of gastrointestinal tracts. This summer, he feels fortunate to collaborate with Dr. Howie Choset and Dr. Lu Li at the Biorobotics Lab, where he will work on 3D mapping in confined spaces and the vision-based inspection for damaged sections of pipes. He feels it is an honor to be a part of this program that allows him to meet excellent researchers worldwide. He appreciates the chance to expand his expertise as a researcher and gain further insights into various fields of robotics through the guidance of CMU experts.
